the Type-HA has the regular non-rebuildable steel bodied shock while the Type-RA has the rebuildable duraluminum alloy shock with larger piston. Also the pillow-ball upper mounts are options with the Type-HA, and cost $400-$500 more, but are standard with the Type-RA. At $1700 for the Type-HA with pillow-ball upper mounts, the Type-RA is a much better deal... basically the Type-RA is comparable to the Ground Control advanced coilovers which cost $2500 without the pillow-ball upper mounts...
